New Football Schedule Announced

WEATHERFORD, Okla. - Southwestern Oklahoma State University has announced its 2010 football schedule, which includes the usual rugged slate of Lone Star Conference opponents, along with a Thursday night home opener against Emporia State.
The Bulldogs will open the season at home on Thursday, Aug. 26 against Emporia State at 7 p.m. The special Thursday evening home opener has been one of the most attended games traditionally on the schedule.
After an open date, the Bulldogs will host West Texas A&M University on Sept. 11 to begin their conference slate. The game is part of Parent's Day activities that are scheduled. Next are back-to-back road games at Midwestern State (Sept. 18) and East Central (Sept. 25) before returning home on Oct. 2 to play LSC-North division newcomer Eastern New Mexico.
A trip to Southeastern Oklahoma State will take place on Oct. 9 before returning to Weatherford for Homecoming festivities against Northeastern State on Oct. 16. The season continues at Texas A&M-Commerce on Oct. 23 before a return for two consecutive home dates against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Oct. 30 and rival Central Oklahoma on Nov. 6.
The final game is at NCAA playoff qualifier Abilene Christian on Nov. 13.
