Kulczycki Wins Academic Honor

RICHARDSON, Texas – Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s Scott Kulczycki was selected as one of the top five Lone Star Conference golf scholar athletes for his success on the course and in the classroom.

Kulczycki, a junior from Saskatchewan, Canada, has carried a stroke average of 73.9 over 10 tournaments which included four top 10 finishes. He was SWOSU’s top golfer in the recently completed LSC Tournament with a seventh-place finish.

In the classroom, Kulczycki maintains a 3.5 grade point average and is a junior majoring in finance.

Also receiving academic mention was Luke Phillips of Sayre was selected to the Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

To be eligible for LSC academic honors, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.20 grade point average and be at least a sophomore, both academically and athletically. The All-Academic Team is selected from the list of academically qualified players, with the league’s sports information directors voting on the basis of both academic and athletic achievement. All qualifying student-athletes not selected for the All-Academic team are automatically qualified for the Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
