Kulczycki Wins Another Award

NORMAN, Okla. – Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s Scott Kulczycki was one of 26 NCAA Division II golfers selected to the Clevleland Golf All-America Scholar team. The announcement was made earlier this month by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
To be eligible for the honor, an individual must be a junior or senior academically and compete in at least two full years at the collegiate level, participate in 70-percent of his team’s competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke average under 78.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
Kulczycki, a senior-to-be from Saskatchewan, Canada, carried a stroke average of 73.9 over 10 tournaments which included four top 10 finishes. He was SWOSU’s top golfer in the LSC Tournament with a seventh-place finish.
In the classroom, Kulczycki maintains a 3.5 grade point average while majoring in finance.
Earlier this year, Kulczycki was one of five players in the Lone Star Conference that was chosen to the league’s all-academic team.
