Women Finish 8th at St. Edward's Tournament

Austin, TX - Southwestern Oklahoma State finished in eighth place at the St. Edward’s Fall Invitational. The two-day, 36-hole women’s golf tournament concluded Tuesday, Oct. 4 at Colavista Golf Club in Austin, Texas.
SWOSU turned in rounds of 355 and 353 to finish with a 132-over par score of 708, 57 strokes behind tournament winner Tarleton State’s score of 651. St. Mary’s was second at 655.
SWOSU’s Megan Eichman was the top finishing Bulldog after rounds of 85 and 85 left her in 23rd place at 26-over par. A total of 75 golfers from 14 teams competed in the tournament.
Tarleton’s Kerri Self won medalist honors with a 12-over par score of 156. She won in a playoff over St. Edward’s Emily Kvinta.
Other SWOSU finishers were as follows: Michelle Campbell in 35th with a 34-over par score of 178; Reina Torres in 41st at 38-over par (182), Jennifer Aviles in 43rd at 36-over par (183) and Lauren Degan in 51st at 43-over par.
