Rainey Takes 4th at NSU

MUSKOGEE, OK – Southwestern Oklahoma State University’sJaryn Rainey showed why she is considered one of the top college golfers in the state bettering the scores of 77 other golfers at the Northeastern State University Women’s Golf Classic. The two-day, 36-hole tournament was played at Cobblestone Creek Golf Course in Muskogee.

Rainey finished with a nine-over-par score of 153 and in a tie at fourth place. Rainey’s effort was enough for the Bulldogs to finish in ninth place as a team with a score of 680. A total of 16 schools participated in the tournament.

Tarleton State won the team competition with a score of 617, 16 shots better than the host, Northeastern State. TSU’s Andrea Lowe won the individual title with a six-over-par score of 150. Lowe’s teammate, Shraddhanjali Singh, was second with a seven-over-par score of 151.

SWOSU will next compete Monday, Oct. 1 at the Lady Lion Classic hosted by Texas A&M-Commerce.
