Women in 12th Place

DALLAS, Texas. --- Southwestern Oklahoma State University got a six-over par 78 from Tasha Marshall and stand in 12th place after the first round of the Dallas Baptist University Classic. The two-day, 36-hole tournament concludes Tuesday in Dallas.Marshall, a senior from Clinton, is in a 13th place tie in the individual race, eight strokes back from first-round leader Raelyn Smith of Angelo State. |
The Bulldogs as a team shot a 348 and are just 13 strokes behind Harding and Oklahoma Baptist in their bid to climb into the top 10. A total of 16 teams and 83 golfers are competing in the event.
Tarleton State counted no higher score than a 75 and is in a comfortable lead after round one with a 294 team score. The TexAnns are 14 strokes ahead of second-place Angelo State.
