Two Make Trip to CNFR

June 8, 2007

Southwestern Oklahoma State University has again qualified some of the top cowboys and in the nation and will be a main challenger in a pair of events at the College National Finals Rodeo. The CNFR, now in its 58th year, will be held indoors in the Casper Events Center in Casper, Wyo., beginning Sunday, June 10

SWOSU coach Chad Ramirez will be making what has become a regular trip for the Bulldogs and bring along with him top team roper Jesse Kulczycki and bareback champion Dusty Gracia.

Gracia, a native of Leedey, finished atop the Central Plains Regional standings in bareback riding with over 1,000 points, more than 300 points ahead of his nearest competitor. He has won bareback titles at Pratt, Southeastern Oklahoma Sate University and our own rodeo here at SWOSU.

Kulczycki, who participated in the CNFR last year, returns in 2007 with his team roping partner K.W. Laurer of Northwestern Oklahoma State University.  The two finished second in the region and won first place at the SWOSU rodeo in Weatherford.
