GRACIA FINISHES 8th AT CNFR

CASPER, Wyoming – Southwestern Oklahoma State University rodeo star Dusty Gracia strung together four solid rides in the bareback competition and finished in a two-way tie for eighth place at the College National Finals Rodeo.
Gracia, a junior from Leedey, had rides of 74, 77, 74 and a final round 77 to finish with 302 points. The top rider in the event was Tilden Hooper of Panola Junior College with a combined score of 320.
Jesse Kulczycki was the only other SWOSU participant in the CNFR. He along with his partner, K.W. Lauer of Northwestern Oklahoma State University, were not as fortunate in the team roping competition. The duo turned in a time of 21.2 seconds in the first round and missed on their second and third round attempts to finish out of the championship round.
