Women Take 6th at FHSU

FORT HAYS, Kan. – The Southwestern Oklahoma State University women’s rodeo team finished in sixth-place at the recently completed Fort Hays State University Rodeo. The women will conclude the spring season next weekend at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. 

SOSU won the team competition with 535 points, followed by Oklahoma Panhandle State University in second with 265 points and Northwestern Oklahoma State University with 210 points.

Michelle Peeples and Jenna Lee Hays each had good outings in the goat tying event sharing sixth place in the average. Peeples won fifth in the short round and Hays split third and fourth in the long round.

Peeples made it back for the final rounds of competition in the breakaway roping but did not finish among the leaders.
