Women Finish 2nd at Pratt

PRATT, KAN - The Southwestern Oklahoma State University women finished in second place at the Pratt Community College Rodeo. The rodeo, which was the Bulldogs second of the season, completed Sunday in Pratt, Kan. The Bulldogs totaled 200 points and finished just behind eventual winner Southeastern Oklahoma State University with 255 points. Western Oklahoma State was third with 145 points.

Cowgirl Lori Tierney finished second in the breakaway roping competition thanks primarily to her first-place finish in the short round. Tierney turned in a clocking of 2.9 seconds which won the short round portion of the event.

Teammate Amy Outhier also had a good rodeo finishing in the top 10 in the breakaway roping competition and third in the overall in the goat tying event. SWOSU also picked up some points from Kelsi Chase who teamed with Shay Aaron of Western Oklahoma State to finish second in the top 10 in the team roping competition.

SWOSU's next rodeo will be next week at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Okla.
