Dumbauld Lifts SWOSU Soccer Team Past Oklahoma Christian

Weatherford, OK - Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s Carrie Dumbauld scored a school-record three goals in leading the Bulldogs to a 4-1 victory over Oklahoma Christian in women’s soccer action Thursday in Weatherford.
Dumbauld, a sophomore forward from Fort Worth, Texas, has scored five goals in the SWOSU’s three games this season. She already has surpassed her team-leading total of four goals scored last year.
Dumbauld scored her first goal at the 15:49 mark and added her second and third within seven minutes of each other. Her second came in the 62nd minute to give SWOSU a 3-0 lead. Her third and last came at the 69th minute to give SWOSU a 4-1 advantage.
SWOSU’s other goal came in the first half when Rachel Welch scored at the 20 minute mark.
The Bulldogs outshot the visiting Lady Eagles by a 17-9 count.
SWOSU will return to action Tuesday, Sept. 6 when they host Oklahoma City University. Start time is at 5 p.m. at the SWOSU Athletic Complex located north of campus.
