WEATHERFORD –Southwestern Oklahoma State fought hard but still suffered its first setback of the 2006 soccer season losing 3-0 at home to Central Oklahoma. The loss dropped the Bulldogs to 1-1 on the season while the No. 15 ranked Bronchos improved to 2-0 on the year.

UCO got goals by Sarah Addison (37th minute), Lindsey Hull (55th minute) and Tiffany Haines (86th minute) and managed to keep the Bulldogs scoreless thanks in part to the play of goalkeeper Rebeka Svensson.

SWOSU matched the Bronchos on the field as both teams attempted 18 shots, 10 of which were on goal.

SWOSU coach Joe Bradley was pleased with his team’s effort and praised the play of Robin Kluck (5-8, Sr., MF, Edmond).

“I thought Robin had one of her best games she’s ever played for us,” Bradley said. “She was in control of the ball for a good part of the game and kept hustling all the way to the end.”

SWOSU will next play at home Friday against Northwestern Oklahoma State. Game time is set for 5 p.m. at the soccer field.
