Alumni Soccer Event Planned

WEATHERFORD, Okla.  – A considerable number of former Southwestern Oklahoma State University women’s soccer players are expected to participate in a special Alumni Game and Luncheon on the Weatherford campus Saturday, April 21.

SWOSU coach Joe Bradley has begin the initial contacts of what is believed to be more than 100 players who have worn the Bulldog uniform in the program’s 10-year history. 

“This has been a popular event at several schools in the past,” Bradley said. “I felt that as our program continues to grow this is a good way to recognize and honor our past. More importantly, it allows our alumni see and participate in what we have planned now and into the future.”

The day’s festivities begin with a luncheon beginning at 11:30 a.m. The Alumni will then suit up one more time, this time against the members of the 2007 soccer team.

“We’re really excited about hosting a large number of alumni,” Bradley said. “Hopefully, it will grow to where it can become an annual event.”
