WEATHERFORD, Okla.  – Southwestern Oklahoma State University managed to wipe away a stubborn soreless streak but still could not get what is becoming an elusive first win, losing 3-1 to visiting Oklahoma Christian in a women’s soccer game.

The loss dropped SWOSU to 0-5 on the year while Oklahoma Christian improved to 2-1 on the young season. SWOSU’s next game will be Sunday at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, another NAIA foe in Alva.

Senior Jamie Hilterbran tied the game at 1-1 when she blasted a shot into the back of the net in the game’s 28th minute. The goal was the Bulldogs first in what had become nearly a four and one-half game scoreless drought.

OC scored first when Stephanie Duncan beat the Bulldog keeper with a nifty one-on-one move after taking a pass from Taryn Caylor-Kingery at the 20 minute mark.
