Alumni Game to Return

WEATHERFORD, Okla. -- A considerable number of former Southwestern Oklahoma State University women’s soccer players are expected to participate in a special SWOSU Alumni Soccer Game and Luncheon on the Weatherford campus Saturday, April19.
SWOSU coach Joe Bradley is again contacting the more than 100 players who have worn the Bulldog uniform in the program’s 11-year history.
“We had a tremendous response last year to our first-ever event,” Bradley said. “This is a good way to recognize and honor our past. More importantly, it allows our alumni to see and participate in what we have planned now and into the future.”
Doors open for the luncheon at 11 a.m. Cost for the luncheon will be $25 for two tickets which also includes one Alumni T-shirt. Extra T-shirts will be $20 and additional lunch tickets will be $5. Kids of Alumni eat free.
Interested participants are asked to RSVP by April 10th with the number planning to attend and sizes for T-shirts.
The alumni game itself will begin at 3:00 p.m.
The following day, SWOSU will host its Soccerthon Fundraiser on Sunday, April 20. The Soccerthon will be 10 soccer games each of 15 minutes in length. Persons are encouraged to donate $1 for every five minutes of play.
Hotdogs, snacks and drinks will be served during the day.
“We’re really excited about hosting a large number of alumni,” Bradley said. “Hopefully, it will grow and even be bigger than last year.”
