Softball Loses at Midwestern

WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Southwestern Oklahoma State University lost both of its softball games to Midwestern State University by scores of 10-2 and 4-3. The losses dropped the Bulldogs to 8-12 overall and 3-5 in the Lone Star Conference North Division.

The Bulldogs will next play Friday at the Emporia State University Tournament for a six-game set.

Fallon Bradshaw and Laiken Lester scored SWOSU's only two runs in game one. The Bulldogs finished with four hits against MSU pitcher Katie Peterson who earlier in the week through a perfect game against SWOSU. Lester had two of SWOSU's four hits in game one.

In game two, SWOSU rallied to tie the game at 3-3 with a pair of runs in the sixth inning. Bradshaw led off the inning with a triple then scored on a double by Stacy Creger. Creger then scored on a RBI single by Brittany Strickland.

The Mustangs won it in the seventh when Miranda Bishop reached with a one-out double. She then advanced to third on a fielder's choice before scoring on a passed ball with two outs.
