Volleyball Loses at Cameron

Lawton, OK - Southwestern Oklahoma State could not slow hot-hitting Cameron University and fell in three straight games, 30-23, 30-20 and 30-20 in volleyball action Thursday night at Lawton.

The loss dropped the Bulldogs to 5-23 overall and 1-7 in the Lone Star Conference North Division while Cameron improved to 14-13 overall and 4-6 in the league.

Cameron controlled much of the match thanks to a precision offensive attack that generated 41 kills against only nine errors. The Aggies hit .359 as a team and were their most impressive late, hitting .400 in game three.

SWOSU hit .147 as a team thanks in large part to Krista Butler’s 10 kills and Tennessee Brown’s eight. No other SWOSU player had more than five kills.

The Bulldogs, under coach Bo Pagliasotti, continue their road swing Friday when they visit Central Oklahoma and Saturday at Dallas Baptist. SWOSU closes the season next week when they host Midwestern State on Thursday, Nov. 3 and Texas Woman’s on Saturday, Nov. 5
