SWOSU Volleyball Spring Season

Weatherford, OK - The Lady Bulldogs just completed a very successful Spring schedule in which they played 4 different tournaments with a 19-14 game record.  “We had 12 players out for Spring Ball and they all saw equal time on the court”  “I was very pleased with the way the girls pulled together in the spring and played as a cohesive unit.  It was something we lacked in the Fall and it was good to see it.  I have always known these girls were great athletes but when they all push the same way, they can be an incredible team.” 

The Fall season will begin in August when the team reports for training camp.  The first match of the 2006 season will be on the campus of the University of Nebraska-Kearney where the Bulldogs will take on Northern State University of South Dakota.

The SWOSU Volleyball Team will have most of the 2005 inaugural squad returning for its second year, including all of those pictured above.  Kasandra Gurtner, Janna Green and Tiffany Shedrock, who will all be Juniors, and who together, led the team all year in every offensive and defensive statistic, will lead the team into the 2006 season with high expectations
