Netters Return Home Against OPSU

WEeatherford, OK – Southwestern Oklahoma State University will have another chance to break double figures on the season win total against visiting Oklahoma Panhandle State University in a volleyball matchup Tuesday at Rankin Williams Fieldhouse. Start time is at 7 p.m.

The Bulldogs, led by second-year coach Bo Pagliasotti, are 9-17 overall and seem likely to easily double their five wins from last year with seven regular-season games left to play. OPSU is 2-18 on the year and has lost nine consecutive games. SWOSU has defeated the Aggies in all five previous matches.

SWOSU’s most recent play came Friday and Saturday during the Lone Star Conference Crossover Tournament in Kingsville, Texas. The Bulldogs had a tough draw playing defending league champion Abilene Christian and nationally-ranked West Texas A&M in two of the three matches.

The Bulldogs were beaten by ACU 30-23, 30-24, 30-17 and then closed with a loss against WTAM by scores of 30-21, 30-16, 30-16. SWOSU lost the middle game of the tournament to Tarleton State 30-19, 30-24, 30-27.

After Tuesday’s match against OPSU, the Bulldogs return to the road for important contests against Texas A&M-Commerce and Southeastern Oklahoma State University. The final two home games of the season are Thursday, Oct. 19 against Cameron and Friday, Oct. 20 against Central Oklahoma.
