Brown, Sherdock Awarded by LSC

T. Brown and CompanyRichardson, TX – Southwestern Oklahoma State University placed two players on the Lone Star Conference North Division Honorable Mention All-Conference volleyball team, according to votes cast by the division’s seven coaches.

Middle blocker Tennessee Brown and setter Tiffany Shedrock were among 12 players recognized to the honorable mention squad. Coaches voted seven players to the first-team squad and six to the second-team squad.

North champion Cameron University led the way with three players earning first-team selection. Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s Olivia Franceskini, a native of Croatia, repeated as the division’s player-of-the-year.

Brown, a junior from Peaster, Texas, led the Bulldogs in attack percentage at .243 and was second in total kills (271) and total blocks (46). She had 11 games in which she had 10 or more kills including a span of three straight against Texas Woman’s, Midwestern State and Wayland Baptist.

Shedrock, a junior from New Braunfels, Texas, was again the Bulldogs leader in assists. She had 804 assists and averaged 7.31 per game. She had eight games in which she had double figure assists and digs with her best numbers coming in a 34-assist, 16-dig effort in the victory over Southern Nazarene University
