Volleyball Classic at SWOSU

WEATHERFORD, OK – Southwestern Oklahoma State University will host a two-day, six-team volleyball classic featuring some of the top programs in the region. The first-of-its-kind event will have five games on Friday and another four on Saturday. Each of the six teams will play three matches during the weekend.

SWOSU, the host of the classic, will bring in a 9-11 record and will play the first match against Lone Star Conference foe Texas A&M-Commerce at 10 a.m. Following that, longtime volleyball rivals Cameron University (7-10) and Central Oklahoma (16-4) will play at approximately 12:15 p.m.

The other three Friday matches will feature Missouri Southern State (10-10) against A&M-Commerce at 2:30 p.m. UCO returns to the court for a match against Arkansas Tech (16-4) at 4:45 p.m. The final match will be SWOSU against Missouri Southern. It is expected to begin at 7 p.m.

Saturday’s play begins at 10 a.m. with SWOSU playing Arkansas Tech. Cameron plays Missouri Southern at 12:15 p.m. and Central Oklahoma plays A&M-Commerce at 2:30 p.m. The classic concludes with a 4:45 p.m. match with Cameron against Arkansas Tech.

Admission to the event is free.
