Volleyball Beats ENMU

WEATHERFORD, Okla. -- Southwestern Oklahoma State University pushed past visiting Eastern New Mexico with little problem winning 3-0 a volleyball match Thursday in Weatherford. SWOSU won by scores of 25-17, 25-14 and 25-21 to improve to 10-13 on the year and 2-5 in Lone Star Conference play.

Kacia Sandburg had 12 kills and led a balanced attack as the Bulldogs used all 11 players in uniform. Jennifer Naramore added eight kills while Breawn Waynes, Staci West and Emily Walter each added six for SWOSU. As a team, SWOSU hit .190 with 42 kills, against 23 errors in 108 attacks.

ENMU, which remained the only LSC team winless in the league fell to 0-7 and 6-19 overall. The Zias had more errors (21) than kills (18) and finished with negative hitting percentage of -.030.


SWOSU will next play at home Saturday at 12 noon against nationally-ranked and defending LSC champion West Texas A&M.
