18-hour core required of all students:

  • ENTRP-5143 -- Managerial Jurisprudence
  • MNGMT-5433 -- Advanced Human Resource Management
  • MNGMT-5533 -- Management & Organizational Behavior
  • MNGMT-5153 -- Managerial Ethics
  • MNGMT-5163 -- Managerial Leadership & Budgeting
  • MRKTG-5263 -- Marketing Strategy

3-6 hours Management electives (not previously taken at undergraduate level)

9-12 hours of guided electives in discipline option. Electives to be selected by program director, the student, and a representative of the chosen discipline.

Admission, Retention, and Graduation Requirements

One of the following must be met:

  1. An undergraduate GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and a minimum of a 3.0 GPA average after completing the first six to nine (6 to 9) hours of graduate course work
  2. An undergraduate GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or greater (overall undergraduate Retention/Graduation and graduate GPA) with a satisfactory minimum score with respect to the combination of GPA and GRE scores:  GPA x 150 + GRE* = 1200
    *The GRE score will be the sum of the scores on the verbal test and either the quantitative test or the analytical test.
  3. An undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of Principles of Management and Marketing; this requirement may be satisfied with evidence of satisfactory completion of undergraduate course work (SWOSU MGMNT 3233 and MRKTG 3143), CLEP, qualifying examinations, or equivalency as determined by the office of the School of Business and Technology Associate Dean.
