Intramural Awards
The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) periodically offers the following Intramural Awards: Faculty/Staff/Student Scholarly Activity Financial Assistance Awards, Organized Research Awards (OR), Proposal Development Awards (PDA), and Faculty Scholarly Activity Travel Awards (TA), in addition to other awards as they become available. (Some awards may not be offered annually.)
Faculty/Staff/Student Scholarly Activity Financial Assistance Awards (FA) are available to provide financial assistance for the presentation of scholarly activities of faculty, staff, administrators, and students. Applications and instructions are available from OSP and the OSP web site. Financial Assistance Award Requests may be made throughout the year. Organized Research Awards (OR) are allocated by the deans. Requests for an Organized Research Award and details should be directed to the individual's dean. The funds for this activity are appropriated to the deans at the beginning of each fiscal year. Organized Research Expense Reports and Narrative Reports are due to OSP after the end of the fiscal year.
Proposal Development Awards (PDA) were established to enhance scholarly activity by providing faculty with the resources to draft proposals for external funding. At the end of the funding cycle, a proposal in a form ready for submission to an external agency must be presented to OSP. PDAs may not be offered each year. Application Announcements will be made via campus email.
The Faculty Scholarly Activity Travel Award (TA) is designed to assist SWOSU’s fulltime faculty enhance their professional development by providing resources to defray travel costs. The purpose of this award is to provide funding (1) to visit a potential funding agency; (2) to attend a grant-writing seminar or workshop; (3) to chair a seminar or workshop session; (4) to attend a subject-relevant conference, workshop, or seminar; or (5) to visit collections, libraries, or archives. TAs may not be offered each year.
Additional programs may be established throughout the year.
