Guidelines for Tri-Fold Brochures
General Guidelines
- Use the Adobe Garamond font for text
- Use the Felt Tip font for headlines; DINMittelschrift for subheadlines
- For two-color brochures, use black and SWOSU Academic Blue
Front Panel
- The SWOSU logo should be positioned at the bottom center
- One benefit statement or quote should be used on the cover, up to seven
words
- Department name should be presented within the top half of the front panel
- An illustration representative of the department should be used as the
primary graphic - avoid "cutesy" or cartoony clip art
Inside Spread
- Utilize the entire spread as usable, graphic space for a cohesive, easy-to-read
brochure
- Spread the headline across all three panels
- Use one to three photographs
- The front-panel illustration may be used as a watermark, if desired
- Wrap text around photos
- Pull quotes can be included
Back Flap
- Use this panel for key facts and interesting information
- The SWOSU logo should appear at the bottom center of this panel
Back Middle Panel
- Use this panel for contact information only, as related to the department
(name, address, phone, web address, and e-mail)
- The SWOSU logo should appear at the bottom center of this panel
