Russell Gaskamp
Russell Gaskamp, a former all-conference lineman at the University of Texas, is SWOSU's new offensive coordinator. Gaskamp has coached five years at various levels and was most recently with Texas A&M-Commerce as the offensive line coach. He also coached at Sam Houston State, Austin's Johnston High School and the Austin Rattlers, a semi-professional team in Texas.
He was part of back-to-back state title teams at Weatherford in 1991 and 1992. He became the first Oklahoma high school graduate to sign with Texas in 17 years.
He started all 13 games at center for UT in 1998 and was part of an offensive line that paved the way for Ricky Williams in his Heisman Trophy winning year.
Gaskamp earned a bachelor's degree in management from Texas and later obtained his master's degree from SHSU in 2005.
He is married to the former Justine Forshage of New Braunfels, Texas.
