Group Study Rooms

Group study rooms in the Al Harris Library are located on the north side of the building on the 2nd floor. Group use takes priority over individual users.

The study rooms may be requested on an as-needed basis for scheduled courses and university-affiliated groups. Requests from community and other public groups must be approved by the Library Director or the Head of Public Services.

To schedule a study room, please call the Information Services Department at (580)774-3030 or (580)774-3031.

Library Auditorium

The library auditorium is located in the basement (room B1) and is accessible from the west entrance and the main library entrance. It holds 200 persons and is available to faculty and members of the public. Reservations should be made by calling the Associate Provost's Office at (580)774-7172.

University-affiliated groups are allowed to use the auditorium on an as-needed basis after 5:00pm if the room is not already reserved.

Southwestern Room

Use of the Southwestern Room for meeting space is restricted to SWOSU faculty. Patrons wishing to use the Southwestern Room's archival materials must sign in at the Circulation Desk. Faculty and staff will be signed-in and given the key to the room. Other patrons may borrow the key with the approval of the Circulation Supervisor. Otherwise, a student assistant will remain in the room to assist the patron. Approved users checking out a key must leave a photo ID at the Circulation Desk.

Library Instruction Room

Use of the Instruction Room is limited to SWOSU classes and public groups for computer-assisted instruction. It is not available as a meeting room.

Faculty should schedule the room as far in advance as practical through the Information Services Department at (580)774-3030 or (580)774-3031. The Instruction Room calendar is available online. The key to the Instruction Room can be checked out from the Circulation Desk. For more information read the Library Instruction Room Guidelines.
