Communication and Mass Media Complete
This resource provides in-depth coverage of communication and mass media journals and literature. It includes over 380 full text journals and indexing for hundreds more. CMMC also include author profiles for the most prolific, most cited, and most frequently searched for authors in the database.
Film and Television Literature Index with Full Text
FTLI covers film and television theory, preservation and restoration, writing, production, cinematography, technical aspects, and reviews. The database provides cover-to-cover indexing and abstracts for 350 publications (and selected coverage of nearly 300), as well as full text for more than 100 journals and nearly 100 books.
International Bibliography of Theatre and Dance with Full Text
This resource provides easy access to over 60,000 journal articles, books, book chapters and dissertation abstracts on all aspects of theatre and performance in 126 countries. It contains more than 490 full-text titles, including more than 150 full-text journals.
JSTOR Journal Archive
JSTOR is a full-text scholarly journal archive. JSTOR specializes in making available the back issues of journals in a wide variety of humanities and social science disciplines. Issues are available both as images and as text. Searching is possible within each title and across the whole database.
Literary Reference Center (EBSCOhost)
LRC is a comprehensive literary reference database which provides a broad spectrum of reference information from antiquity to the present day. LRC is a completely full-text database that combines information from over 1,000 books and monographs, major literary encyclopedias and reference works, hundreds of literary journals, and unique sources not available anywhere else. MagillOnLiterature Plus is included in LRC.
Literature Online
Formerly LION: Literature Online, this database contains a full library of up-to-date, fully searchable criticism and reference resources. It also contains an extensive collection of full-text poetry, drama, and prose fiction from the 7th century to the present. Contemporary criticism is available through the full text of over 400 current literature journals and the Annual Bibliography of English Language and Literature (ABELL), which contains over thousands of citations to literary criticism from 1920 to the present.

MLA International Bibliography (EBSCO)
This resource is an index of journal articles, books and dissertations. Produced by the Modern Language Association, the electronic version of the Bibliography dates back to 1963 and contains over 1.5 million citations from more than 4,400 journals and series and 1,000 book publishers. Coverage is international and subjects include literature, language and linguistics, folklore, literary theory and criticism, dramatic arts, as well as the historical aspects of printing and publishing. Listings on rhetoric and composition and the history, theory and practice of teaching language and literature are also included.

Merriam-Webster Unabridged Dictionary
Use the world's largest, most comprehensive American English dictionary to find the definitions of words and check your spelling. Look up words by language of origin, date of first use, or part of speech. Find examples of words used in context. The "reverse" dictionary lets you look up words when you remember what a word means, but not the word itself. Merriam-Webster Unabridged is based on Webster's Third New International Dictionary and includes thousands of additional words and supplemental information since the publication of the Third New International.

Naxos Spoken Word Library
Listen to classic novels, plays, and poetry from medieval times to the twentieth century. All works are read by professional actors and actresses. Browse 21 categories, from Children's Classics, Classic Fiction, to Shakespeare's Plays, Music Education, and more. Many texts are available to follow on-screen or can be printed out.

Oxford English Dictionary
The OED is the accepted authority on the evolution of the English language over the last millennium. It is a guide to the meaning, history, and pronunciation of over half a million words, both present and past. It traces the usage of words through 2.5 million quotations from a wide range of international English language sources.

Points of View Reference Center
This resource is a full-text database that provides essays presenting multiple sides of a current issue. The database provides 250 topics, each with an overview (objective background/description), point (argument), counterpoint (opposing argument), and a Critical Thinking Guide. Example topics include: affirmative action, cloning, DNA profiling, HIV/AIDS status disclosure, immigration, Iraq, Israel and the Palestinians, Katrina and FEMA response, nuclear proliferation, separation of church and state, standardized testing, stem cell research, tax cuts, voting machines, and many more.
Pop Culture Universe
This database includes more than 250 volumes of reviewed, published material that offer thousands of overviews of pop culture from the 1920's through the present, including TV shows, awards, fads, fashions, and news.

Salem Literature
Online access to many Salem Press literature references and the Salem Press Critical Insights reference series. VAST: Academic Video Online is Alexander Street Press’ flagship video database containing thousands of video titles in a wide range of disciplines, including biology, business, education, healthcare, the humanities, the physical sciences, and the social sciences. This collection from the American Antiquarian Society (AAS) documents the life of America's people from the Colonial Era through the Civil War and Reconstruction and provide access to the most comprehensive digital collection of American periodicals published between 1691 and 1877.

Arts & Humanities Citation Index
AHCI is a multidisciplinary index to the journal literature of the arts and humanities. It fully covers 1,160 of the world's leading arts and humanities journals. It also indexes individually selected, relevant items from over 6,800 major science and social science journals.

Project MUSE provides complete, full-text versions of scholarly journals from many of the world's leading university presses and scholarly societies. SWOSU has access to over 600 full text humanities and social science journals through Project Muse.
