The only online source for the entire series of both United News and Universal Newsreel, this collection lets you see events as they happened and as they were packaged and interpreted by commentators of the day. This database covers the history of the world (excluding the United States and Canada) from 1450 to the present, including world history, military history, women's history, history of education, and much more. North American Indian Thought and Culture
This resource integrates writings, images, and oral histories to cover the entire history of North America; from 17th century accounts of the first encounters involving Indians and European colonists to the stories of aboriginals living in a 21st century world. The database is dedicated to telling the life stories of both the well-known historical figures such as Pocahontas and Sitting Bull, and also the lesser-known men and women whose day-to-day experiences give an equally valuable portrayal of Indian culture. This resource is the world's most comprehensive and highest quality sociology research database. Its extensive scope and content provide users with a wealth of extremely useful information encompassing the broad spectrum of sociological study. SocINDEX contains full-text for 428 core coverage journals dating back to 1908, and 163 "priority" coverage journals. This database also includes full text for more than 735 books and monographs, and full text for over 6,700 conference papers.
