- MEDLINE
Plus
Provides links to pre-formulated searches of the MEDLINE database, allowing
you to find references to latest health professional articles on your topic.
MEDLINE Plus also has pages of carefully selected links to Web resources with
authoritative health information, including the ADAM
Medical Encyclopedia, directories, organizations, news sources and 400
health topics.
- PubMed
Search the medical literature using MEDLINE. MEDLINE is the National Library
of Medicine's (NLM) premier bibliographic database covering the fields of
medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system,
and the preclinical sciences. The MEDLINE file contains bibliographic citations
and author abstracts from over 3,800 current biomedical journals published
in the United States and 70 foreign countries. The file contains over 8.6
million records dating back to 1966.

Search MEDLINE, TOXLINE, and AIDSLINE. Medscape also offers daily health
news, a drug information database, and other resources for health professionals.

- Merck
Manual Online
The Merck Manual is the most widely used medical text in the world. Written
by over 300 experts, it covers all but the most obscure disorders. In addition
to describing symptoms, common clinical procedures, laboratory tests, and
virtually all the disorders that a general internist might encounter, the
Manual deals with problems of pregnancy and delivery; common and serious disorders
of neonates, infants, and children; genetics; drug dependency; psychiatric
disorders; and many disorders covered by other specialties. Current
therapy is presented for each disorder and supplemented with a separate section
on clinical
pharmacology.

Acts and Regulations Related to Nursing
This database contains all available nurse practice acts and nursing regulations
from 49 states, the District of Columbia, and four United States territories:
Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
