Ask a Librarian by Email

24/7 answers by email

Welcome to the SWOSU Libraries' Ask a Librarian email reference service. Ask a Librarian provides brief answers to factual questions, or suggestions on locations and sources which will help you find the answer your question.

The Ask a Librarian reference service isn't for questions that require extensive research. Use it when you need

  • answers to questions about SWOSU Libraries services;
  • dates, names, spellings, facts, and definitions;
  • brief biographical or historical information; and
  • addresses and phone numbers for businesses, publishers, organizations, associations, government agencies, and prominent individuals.

You must be a SWOSU student or employee to use Ask a Librarian. (If you're not affiliated with SWOSU we recommend the Internet Public Library or your local public library.) We'll respond to your question within one business day. Questions received on weekends and SWOSU holidays will be answered the following business day.

For immediate assistance please visit the Reference Desk. The Reference Desk telephone number is (580)774-7082 (Weatherford) or (580)928-5533 ext. 2104 (Sayre).
