The SWOSU Libraries provide on-site and email reference assistance to students, faculty, staff and other patrons. The Reference Desk provides on-site assistance during all operating hours of the library. In the Al Harris Library the Reference Desk can be found on the first floor (turn right upon entering the building). You can also contact the Reference Desk by phone at (580)774-7082 (Weatherford) or (580)928-5533 ext. 2104 (Sayre). For email reference assistance use Ask a Librarian. We'll respond to Ask a Librarian questions within 24-48 hours. Questions received on weekends and university holidays will be answered during the following work week.

Research Pathfinders
Need a starting point for your research paper?
Over 30 research pathfinders on various subjects have been made available to SWOSU students and on-site researchers. Each pathfinders provides a compilation of resources from the Libraries' electronic and Reference collections, web sites, and includes call number ranges where the subject can be found in the circulating collection. Pick up your pathfinders from the rotating rack next to the Al Harris Library Reference Desk or download pathfinders here.
Citation and Style Guides
Need help citing a book or article? Citation and style guides for MLA, APA and Turabian citation formats can downloaded here.
Citation handbooks for MLA (Modern Language Association), APA (American Psychological Association) and Turabian are available at the Reference Desk and the Circulation Desk. Copies at the Circulation Desk are kept on Reserve. A copy checked out for 2 hours.
