National Library Week 2013: Communities Matter @ Your Library!

SWOSU students, faculty, and staff, do you have a favorite book? Is there a book that inspired you, informed you, changed your perspective on a topic, or just provided entertainment? We invite you to tell us about your favorite book.

National Library Week 2013

In celebration of National Library Week during April 14-20, 2013, the Al Harris Library is sponsoring an exhibit and book discussion titled The Favorite Books of SWOSU Students, Faculty, and Staff.

To tell us about your favorite book, submit the "My Favorite Book" form by Tuesday, April 16. (Click here for the form.) Your favorite book, your name, and your comments will be displayed as part of the National Library Week exhibit at the Library.

Everyone is invited to the book discussion on Wednesday, April 17, 12:00 p.m. in Group Study Room #2 in the Al Harris Library to discuss their favorite books. If you have any questions about this event, please contact Linda Pye at or call (580)774-7021.

First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support. All types of libraries, including academic, school, public, and special, participate in this observance.
