Adams Named SWOSU College of Pharmacy Outstanding Alumnus for 2013

- Clinton pharmacist Greg Adams has been named the 2013 Outstanding Alumnus of the Southwestern Oklahoma State University College of Pharmacy in Weatherford.
Lake Carpenter Appointment to RUSO Board Confirmed by Oklahoma Senate

- Lake Carpenter was appointed to the board of the Regional University System of Oklahoma by Governor Mary Fallin to serve a nine year term ending in 2022, and his confirmation by the Oklahoma State Senate was completed on May 13.
Run & Walk Planned in Cheyenne to Benefit Scholarship Fund

- The Jarod Martindale 5K Run/Walk, dedicated to all suicide victims and their families, is set this Saturday, April 27, at 9 a.m. in Cheyenne, and all proceeds will go to the Jarod Martindale Memorial Scholarship Fund at the SWOSU Foundation in Weatherford.
Berrong and Schmidt to be Inducted into SWOSU Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame

- Brad Berrong of Weatherford and Dr. Dwayne Allen Schmidt of Oklahoma City are being inducted into Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame during 2013 graduation ceremonies on the Weatherford campus.
Wright Wradio Donates to Video Board Project

- The “Radio Voice of the Bulldogs,” Wright Broadcasting System, has pledged $25,000 to sponsor a multi-media jumbo color video board in the new SWOSU Events Center on the Weatherford campus.

- Reservations are now being taken for the annual SWOSU Division of Physics spring alumni/friends banquet on Saturday, April 6, at 7 p.m. in the SWOSU Student Center Ballroom on the Weatherford campus.
Mike North Establishes Scholarship Endowment at SWOSU

- The Lucille and Mike North Endowment to support the President’s Leadership Class at Southwestern Oklahoma State University has been established with the SWOSU Foundation in Weatherford.
Williams Family Establishes Scholarship at SWOSU

- Larry and Cara Williams of Weatherford have donated funds to Southwestern Oklahoma State University to establish the Williams Family Scholarship to benefit students in nursing, parks & recreation and Eagle Scouts from the Boy Scouts of America – Troop 355.

- Nelson Sims, a 1971 graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, has graciously made a significant contribution that will help fund the establishment of the “Nelson M. Sims Chair, Dean of the College of Pharmacy” position.
