Twelve Competing for Miss Southwestern This Saturday

Twelve SWOSU students will compete for the title of Miss Southwestern 2005 this Saturday, October 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center on the Weatherford campus of Southwestern Oklahoma State University. The winner wins a $2,100 scholarship plus a trip to the Miss Oklahoma Pageant in the summer of 2005.

Alison Mainers, a former Miss Southwestern and twice a Top Five Finalist at the Miss Oklahoma Pageant, will serve as mistress of ceremonies. Entertainers for the evening will be current Miss Southwestern Chelsea Dunn and the SWOSU Jazz Ensemble "A".

Advance tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for individuals with an SWOSU ID card. Tickets are available in Administration Building 205, Stafford Center 349, Weatherford Area Chamber of Commerce office, Sweeties and from all contestants. All tickets at the door will be $6.

Contestants are: Megan Alexander, Perkins; Holly Bullington, Gould; Christa Crotts, Burns Flat; Ellen Hamburger, Weatherford; Caitlin Hicks, Weatherford; Lauren Johnson, Yukon; Ralisha Johnson, Del City; Emilie Lam, Tecumseh; Jennifer Lee, Clinton; Brittany Moody, Oklahoma City (Putnam City North); Brittnee Thiessen, Weatherford; and Ranee Young, Sentinel.
