Dhillon Selected for Expert Panel at ATA Conference

Dr. Harpal Dhillon, director of the Center for Telemedicine and Web-based Distance Learning at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, has been invited to serve as a member of a panel of experts at a national conference later this spring.

Dhillon will serve on the panel for “Video-based Telemedicine Systems: Program Design and Technical Considerations” at the 2005 annual meeting of the American Telemedicine Association, which will be held April 17-20 in Denver, Colorado.

Dhillon will also present two refereed papers at the conference. The papers are titled “Exploring Technological Hurdles of Telemedicine Video-based Communication” and “Telemedicine Application for Medical Rehabilitation-Analysis of Outcomes.”

He co-authored the papers with Dr. Pamela Forducey, director of the Institute for Neuro-sciences and Telemedicine at Integris-Health in Oklahoma City.
