History Day Set April 6 at SWOSU

A History Day competition will be held at Southwestern Oklahoma State University this Wednesday, April 6, on the Weatherford campus.
The competition is for District II in the state of Oklahoma. Approximately 100 students from Burns Flat/Dill City, Lomega, Canton and Minco will compete in this year’s competition that has the theme “Communication in History: The Key to Understanding.”
Roger Bromert, coordinator of History Day activities at SWOSU, said exhibits will be staged on the second floor of the Student Union, and performances and documentaries will be held in the Old Science Building from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. The awards ceremony will be at 1 p.m. in the Student Union Upper Lounge.
Admission is free, and the public is invited to the activities.
