SWOSU Plans Dawg Days 2005

August 8, 2005

Dawg Days will take place August 20-28 in conjunction with the beginning of classes at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.

SWOSU classes begin August 24.

All SWOSU students are invited to attend any of the events. Additional information is available by calling the SWOSU Dean of Students Office at (580) 774-3767.

Saturday, August 20
8 a.m. Move-In Day at Residence Halls
8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Follett Bookstore open
10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

6 - 9 p.m. Freshman meet OLs at the Burton House -Activities to include: Cookout and ice cream sandwiches sponsored by New Student Orientation and Follett Bookstore
Sunday, August 21
3 p.m. Volleyball and watermelon at Wesley Student Center (WSC)
8 - 10 p.m. CCSC Game Night
Monday, August 22
11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. WSC Cookout
1 - 3 p.m. CCSC Open House for pool, ping pong, volleyball, snacks
2 - 4:30 p.m. BCM "Freshman Survivor Day" for freshman only
7 p.m. OLs give freshman campus tour - meet in front of the Stafford Center
8 p.m. BancFirst faculty/student ice cream social on the SU lawn
10 p.m. - Midnight BCM late night pancakes

11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. $1 lunch at Church of Christ Student Center
2 - 4 p.m. **Mass O at the Fine Arts Center
5 - 7 p.m. BCM progressive dinner
8 p.m. Bingo in the cafeteria (rain plan-Small Gym with dance)
9 p.m. - Midnight Dance at the Clock Tower Plaza (rain plan-Small Gym)
Wednesday, August 24
8 a.m. Classes begin
Noon - 1 p.m. BCM "Kickoff Cookout" (come and go)
6 p.m. Student Government Association Open House
6 p.m. Volleyball Tournament at the sand courts south of Neff Hall
6:30 p.m. Scavenger hunt, music, praise, and devotion at WSC
7 p.m. Watermelon Feast sponsored by IBC Bank at the sand courts south of Neff Hall
7 - 8 p.m. CCSC "Extreme Makeover" (Bible study series)
8 - 11 p.m. "Main Event" sponsored by Chi Alpha on the Neff Hall lawn
Thursday, August 25
9 a.m. - 4 p.m. SGA Organization Fair on SU south lawn
3 p.m. SWOSU Women's Soccer vs. St. Gregory's University at the Athletic Complex
7 p.m. SWOSU Bulldogs Football vs. Panhandle State at Milam Stadium
Following FB Game Outdoor movie, "The Longest Yard" sponsored by Legacy Bank on the football practice field (rain plan-Small Gym)
Friday, August 26
5 - 9 p.m. BCM Cookout
7 - 9 p.m. Free bowling at Southwestern Lanes, 125 S. Broadway St. (SWOSU student ID required)
Sunday, August 28
11:30 a.m. Welcome Back Lunch - First United Methodist Church at Wesley Student Center
5 - 6:30 p.m. Cookout on SU south lawn (SWOSU student ID required)
