February Employee Spotlight
Lisa Friesen and Justin Tinder are the employees in the spotlight during the month of February at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.
Friesen is the helpdesk coordinator for Information Technology Services. She has worked at SWOSU for almost two years. She and her husband, Greg, live in Weatherford. They have three children—Brandon, Brittany and Nicholas—and one grandson. She attends Pine Acres Church. She enjoys spending time with her family. Friesen came to Weatherford in 1971 when her father accepted a teaching position at SWOSU. She left Weatherford to attend three years of college in Texas. She later returned to Weatherford and attended SWOSU earning both bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
Tinder is the sports information director at SWOSU where he has worked for two years. He and his wife, Nancy, live in Weatherford. They have two sons: Ryan (3-years-old) and Lucas (6-months-old). Tinder is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (COSIDA). He came to Weatherford to work at SWOSU in order to cover and promote student athletes, coaches and teams. Some of his hobbies include playing with his kids, reading science fiction, and losing money in the stock market. He also enjoys hosting football watch parties at his home and going to watch the Hornets whenever he can.
