April 7, 2006

A unique art gallery showing will take place April 17 through 21 at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.

Ku, Ja-Hong, full professor and dean of the Art College in Dong-A University, and EunKyung Jeong, an assistant professor at SWOSU, will feature their works from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day in the Art Building Gallery.

The gallery opening will take place on Monday, April 17, from 5-7 p.m. Admission is free, and the public is invited.

Ku, Ja-Hong is a world-renowned artist with exhibits in many countries. His pieces include a variety of textiles and tapestries.

Jeong will show her “Formations” series, a form of fiber arts called “soft sculpture” made with pulp and various materials.

“Come meet the artists and learn about their techniques and styles,” said SWOSU Art Department Chair Joe London. “The show will be full of culture and life.”

Additional information is available by calling the SWOSU Art Department at (580) 774-3756.
