Oklahoma Treasurer to Speak at SWOSU
Scott Meacham, treasurer of the state of Oklahoma, will speak at Southwestern Oklahoma State University this Thursday, April 27, on the Weatherford campus.
Meacham will speak at 7 p.m. in the Old Science Building Auditorium. Admission is free, and the public is invited.
His appearance at SWOSU is sponsored by the SWOSU Political Science Association and the SWOSU Criminal Justice Students Association.
Meacham has served as Oklahoma state treasurer since June of 2005. Previously, Meacham had served as state finance director for Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry.
Prior to his government service, Meacham served as chief executive officer of the First National Bank of Elk City. Meacham is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma where he received a bachelor’s degree in finance, master’s degree in business administration and doctoral degree in law.
