Randy Beutler, assistant to the president for strategic operations at SWOSU, said the PLC is a four-year program offered by SWOSU to recognize outstanding leadership qualities and to encourage students in their participation as SWOSU campus leaders. The program is designed to assist in promoting and developing effective academic, social and leadership skills. This will be accomplished through direct participation in campus activities, seminars, guest speakers, recruitment and alumni efforts.
Membership in the PLC will allow students to develop close associations with university administrators such as SWOSU President John Hays and meet scholars and dignitaries who visit campus.
