SWOSU's Welch Named OSHP Pharmacist of the Year

E. Ben Welch, associate professor in the Southwestern Oklahoma State University College of Pharmacy in Weatherford, has been named Pharmacist of the Year by the Oklahoma Society of Health-System Pharmacists (OSHP).
Welch was honored recently at the state convention held in Tulsa.
Welch teaches in the SWOSU Department of Pharmacy Practice. The Edmond resident joined the SWOSU College of Pharmacy in 1989 and, since that time, has been training pharmacy students. His training sites include St. Anthony and St. Michael hospitals in Oklahoma City.
Each year since 1974, the OSHP has selected on individual to bestow its highest and most prestigious award, Health-System Pharmacist of the Year. The selection criteria for the award includes service to the profession, contributions to pharmacy programs, cooperation with the entire healthcare team and service to the community.
