July 19, 2006
Ron Teasley of Gravette, Ark., has given $5,000 to the Southwestern Oklahoma State University College of Pharmacy in Weatherford.
The gift comes as part of the SWOSU College of Pharmacy $1 million FOCUS campaign, which includes raising money for academic program enrichment, scholarships and the College of Pharmacy’s museum.
Teasley, a Weatherford High School graduate, earned his degree from SWOSU in 1968. He was active in Phi Delta Chi during his years at SWOSU. He recently presented the gift to Dr. H.F. Timmons, president of the SWOSU Pharmacy Alumni Foundation.
“Ron has demonstrated his loyalty to the SWOSU College of Pharmacy, his belief in higher education and his commitment to helping deserving students,” Timmons said.
Teasley, the owner of Teasley Drug in Gravette, is currently on the board of directors for Gravette Medical Center Hospital.
