Counselors Win Scholarships at SWOSU Event

Southwestern Oklahoma State University recently hosted a high school counselor program and luncheon on the Weatherford campus. Counselors from western Oklahoma were in attendance. As part of the luncheon, four $250 scholarships were awarded to schools. Counselors from those schools will present the scholarship to a high school senior who chooses to attend SWOSU.

Winning scholarships were (front second from left):  Marylu Oakes, Seiling; Joyce Harrison, Gage; Bobbi Fuchs, Mountain View/Gotebo; and Gene Van Campen, Vici.  Also pictured from SWOSU are (left) Todd Boyd, director of the Admissions and Recruitment Office, and (right) Jim Waites, director of the Office of Institutional Advancement.

SWOSU also recently hosted a high school counselor program and luncheon in Oklahoma City for metro area counselors.
