CE Activities Being Offered at SWOSU
Four more continuing education activities have been announced for the fall semester at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.
- The activities are:
- Basic Drawing
- Beginning Personal Safety Training
- Intermediate Personal Safety Training
- Group Play Therapy Techniques & Play Therapy with Special Populations
The Basic Drawing activity will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, November 7, 9, 14 and 16, from 7-9 p.m. The activity is geared toward anyone who wants to learn the basic concepts and applications of basic drawing techniques. Instructor is E.K. Jeong.
The personal safety training activities have been offered for several semesters by Dr. Sam Lackey and Gene Foust. Both are held on Tuesday evenings from 7-9 p.m. beginning October 24 and continuing through December 19. The activities are geared for working professionals and individuals in the helping professions.
The group play therapy activity is a new one being offered this semester on November 17 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Participants will identify appropriate group play therapy techniques with specific client populations. The target audience for this activity is community counselors, social workers and school counselors. Instructors are Sharolyn Wallace and Wakie Johnson with Amy Barnett as conference coordinator.
