The Team To Beat Wins Charity Softball Tournament
The Team To Beat won a recent softball tournament that had profits benefiting the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
Sigma Sigma Chi social sorority at Southwestern Oklahoma State University hosted the tournament.
Ten teams competed in the “Batting for the Cure” softball tournament. The Team To Beat received a trophy along with individual prizes. Homerun Derby winners were Bill Burcham and Loraine Weekley, who each won individual prizes also.
“The softball tournament had a great turnout and was a success,” said Sigma Sigma Chi member Kristine Johnson. “A tremendous thank you goes to all the businesses that donated to the fundraiser. Without you, our plans would only be a dream.”
The Relay for Life event will be held this spring.
