Southwest Oklahoma Business Conference Coming Early January
“Critical Issues Confronting Southwest Oklahoma Business” is a conference coming up Friday, January 12 at Quartz Mountain Arts & Conference Center near Lone Wolf.
The Southwest Oklahoma Impact Coalition (SOIC)—a unique voluntary association consisting of Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Western Oklahoma State College, Cameron University, University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, Redlands Community College, Association of South Central Oklahoma Governments, and South Western Oklahoma Development Authority—will sponsor the informational conference.
The conference will from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. A complimentary lunch and registration will be provided for the first 250 registrants.
The program will feature Dr. Dan Hobbs’ presentation of Cultural and Sociological Differences in Oklahoma and an update on the regional results of a business retention and expansion survey comparison of manufacturing results with new data from businesses in the areas of convention, retail, tourism, and services. The information will be particularly relevant to regional, city and county officials; state government policy makers; utility and community service providers; and educational leaders.
