SWOSU Students Observe Jaws of Life Demonstration

The Weatherford Fire Department recently conducted a vehicular extraction demonstration on the Southwestern Oklahoma State University campus in Weatherford.

The Weatherford Fire Department recently conducted a vehicular extraction demonstration on the Southwestern Oklahoma State University campus in Weatherford.

The demonstration was conducted for the SWOSU Parks and Recreation Management’s emergency response course.

The firefighters demonstrated the use of Jaws of Life, simulating the removal of an injured individual from an automobile accident. Helping were firefighters Brian Bottom, Jarod Burton, Tracy Watkins, Josh Williams and assistant chief Mike Karlin. Albert’s Wrecker & Tire Service of Weatherford provided the car.
