SWOSUpalooza Deadlines Approaching January 31

The deadline for logo designs and musical performers for Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s SWOSUpalooza 8 is coming up January 31.
The event, which is organized by the SWOSU Student Senate’s Special Projects Committee, will continue accepting submissions until 5 p.m. on January 31. The committee began accepting demos in November and the benefit of that decision is already noticeable.
“Starting submissions earlier in the year was a great idea; we’ve already heard some awesome bands,” said committee member Katie Korhonen of Oklahoma City.
An official SWOSUpalooza 8 logo and a band lineup will be announced in February after the Special Projects Committee votes on this year’s candidates. The committee is comprised of members of the SWOSU Student Senate.
SWOSUpalooza 8 will be held at the SWOSU campus in Weatherford on Thursday, April 12.
Artists with design suggestions are encouraged to send samples, and musicians wishing to participate in this year’s event are reminded to submit videos, CDs, tapes or electronic formats of their performances.
